The Copper Whale Inn is located in Anchorage, close to the city's attractions. West hillside location offers views of the Cook Inlet, the Alaska Range, and the Mt. Spurr Volcano. Built in 1939 by a local doctor, this original Summer home is historic by Anchorage standards (the city was founded in 1917). One of the few buildings that survived the 1964 Anchorage earthquake
Surpassingly lush gardens grace the exterior in the Summer, while inside the inn is cozy and inviting, with original pine floors and brightly painted rooms warmed by a brass trimmed fireplace.
15 rooms in all. 12 rooms with private bath and 2 rooms with shared bath arrangement.
