Surry Inn is located midway between Mt. Desert Island with its Acadia National Park (and historic Bar Harbor), and Deer Isle. Built in 1834, the inn provided lodging for stage and steamship passengers during the 1800's. Inn's 60 foot glassed-in porch overlooks Contention Cove. Located 30 miles from Bangor International Airport and only 13 miles from the Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton.

The grounds have shore walks and a beach with saltwater bathing. There is croquet, horseshoes, a canoe and a rowboat.
