Now an Inn, but nearly one hundred years ago, Blantyre began its life as a gift of love. A successful merchant, Robert Paterson, had been invited to Lenox, Massachusetts in the late 1890's decided this was where he wanted to spend summers with his wife, the love of his life, and his family. He set about acquiring 220 acres to build his dream house. With its leaded glass windows, burnished woods and luxurious fabrics, the inside of Blantyre is exactly what you would expect upon seeing the outside of the building.
Eight guest bedrooms and suites, many with fireplaces, all with their own personality, are located on the second floor.A heated outdoor pool, with two changing rooms.
Croquet - Two championship bent grass croquet courts are available to guests. Blantyre's original Potting Shed now houses a small exercise area with treadmill, Stairmaster and crosstrainer for indoor workouts. Four Har-Tru tennis courts. For moderate exercise, a mile-long walking trail surrounds the grounds.
