The Inn's 44 guest rooms are individually decorated and distinctively different. They range from rooms in the old inn, built in 1812, to modern, country-style rooms and suites. In addition to standard amenities, all have handmade quilts, air conditioning and cable TV. Some have refrigerators and private decks with views of Wolfeboro Bay. The Inn is awarded three diamonds by AAA.
Built in 1812 by the Rodgers family, the original house remained a private residence for about 75 years but as summer visitors grew in number, the residence became the Copper Kettle and provided food and lodging to the traveler all the way from Boston. In the early thirties, it was renamed the Carr House and operated during the summer months complete with waiters in white gloves. In 1987 a three-story addition, with lake views, was added to the original building.
