The San Juan River is famous for its trout; rainbow, brown and cutbow. The lodge is located on the San Juan River. Soaring Eagle is in the middle of a private ranch commonly referred to as the Jacquez Ranch.
Guesthouses reside in front of one of the best fishing holes on the San Juan River. This notorious hole is known as the "Crow’s Foot". This is an area where three finger tributaries of the San Juan River merge and is almost within casting distance of your cabin. Soaring Eagle Lodge is approximately 50 yards from the river
Accommodations are "Angler Friendly". Set up with
the fly fisherman in mind. Each guesthouse (more commonly referred to as cabins)
is equipped with rod racks and wader racks both indoors and outdoors for your
convenience. The guest houses have satellite TV, telephones, full size refrigerators,
either a stove or a microwave, utensils, linens, dishes, lounge chairs, redwood
patio furniture. Guesthouses are set up for condo type living. Accommodations
are upscale, casual.
