Hollywood Hotel at Galveston Island is the first gay resort on the Isle. The former Silver Sands (circa 1946) sat empty and idle for more than 2 years. New owners, renovated the building from roof to foundation. Each of the 25 rooms are now completely remodeled.
The brick building faces the Gulf of Mexico, just across Seawall Boulevard from the beach. Built in a U-shape, the 2 story building surrounds a swimming pool. The second story deck overlooks a wide expanse of the Gulf.
A full complimentary breakfast is served each morning in The Lucille Ballroom. Weather permitting, the complimentary happy hour is served on the second floor deck overlooking the Gulf.
The building's access is limited to those registered guests and their guests. It is designed as an "adults-only"atmosphere.
